work towards the fair treatment of refugees and immigrants. We
recognize the need to combat a widespread hostility towards immigrants,

and to work for peace and social justice in our clients' countries of

PLANNED GIFTS - THE
SIEMPREVIDA FUND
If you have a will, living trust, or other estate documents, it is easy
to make a lasting gift to EBSC in the form of a bequest. Unless
designated otherwise, these gifts are added to the Siemprevida Fund,
where they are invested for the long term. Siemprevida means "always
living." EBSC has created this fund to provide some financial
security for EBSC long into the future. EBSC will use the interest
generated by the Fund, but will leave the principal the principal
untouched except in the case of a true emergency. The Siemprevida Fund
is separate from our reserves, which are simply meant to provide a
cushion and which may be used during difficult times. When you make a
planned gift that becomes part of the Siemprevida Fund, you are helping
to provide a reliable stream of income to EBSC for as long as we are
needed in the community.
Those who make planned gifts to EBSC are invited to join
the
Siemprevida Club, through which we recognize these people during their

TINY TICKETS
Do you have BART tickets worth only a few cents lying around the house
or cluttering your wallet? The East Bay Community Foundation has
started
a program that will turn those unused tickets into money for
organizations in the Bay Area, and EBSC is one of them! Click here to learn
